Do I get future updates?
Yes. Core includes lifetime updates to the private repo. Hyperdrive beta improvements ship through the MCP layer while we validate the guided setup and review workflows with early users.
What is Hyperdrive beta?
Hyperdrive is the MCP operator layer for setup plans, provider handoffs, validation, brand/domain workflows, and Computer Use checkpoints. Core buyers get 90 days of beta access without a second checkout. The standalone Hyperdrive checkout is for users who want the Polar trial that converts to paid after beta unless canceled.
Do I need to be good with AI coding tools?
No. Varel works as a normal Next.js codebase. But if you use Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or Copilot, the bundled AGENTS.md, repo skill, and rules make them dramatically more effective - that's where the 10x really kicks in.
Is this only for non-technical founders?
No. Beginners get a safer path because the agent has guardrails. Experienced engineers get leverage because the repo handles the repeatable SaaS plumbing and reminds agents to check SEO, billing, data boundaries, docs, accessibility, and deployability before handoff.
Can I use it for client work?
